Hey there. I’m Mindy Christiansen, and my professional background includes freelance copy editing for an editing agency over the past five years, tutoring English writing in a writing center, and previously working in television production, pitching inspiring and uplifting stories to HGTV and Food Network.

Graduating from the University of Colorado at Denver with a double Bachelor’s in english writing and communication*, I completed the Copy Editing Certificate program through the University of San Diego Extension in 2021 and have been editing professionally ever since. (*Did you know educational disciplines are actually lowercased? These are the details I love to fix!)

I am also pursuing my Technical Writing Certification in the fall of 2026.

I love words, I love good stories, and I love working with writers. I especially love nonfiction and creative nonfiction, when good people tell their stories or want to help make this world a better place through instruction or teaching.

I am a member of ACES: The Society for Editing, and the EFA: Editorial Freelancers Association.
